This is a plaster impregnated cloth which is used for modelling. Modroc is a wonderful construction material that can be used on its own, or combined with armature wire, box construction, moulds, chicken wire or rolled up newspaper. Modroc dries hard, dries quickly, it is easy to manipulate and form. To use: Using Modroc Sheers cut Modroc cloth into smaller strips. Modroc requires a small amount of water to activate; dip strips into water and then gently squeeze out excess water. Layer over model. The finished dry construction can be painted, drawn on or glossed, while embellishments may be glued on. NB. Holes and staples need to be made during construction.

Care instructions: DO NOT throw the Modroc water down domestic sinks as the plaster residue will block drains; throw the water outside into a garden. Be careful to have a well-ventilated area. Encourage the children not to shake the Modroc, as excessive plaster powder will be released into the air. This is not good for breathing or for cleaning.

FAQ:
Q: How Many masks do I get out of a 10kg bag of Modroc?
A: You can make approx. 60 full faced children’s masks from a 10kg bag of Modroc.

Q: Can you start a project and leave it to dry for a few days and comeback to it?
A: Yes you can but it is not ideal. The reason being is that you reactivate the original plaster and if it gets to wet it will take a very long time to dry and could end up becoming mouldy.
