The Gruffalo Felt Play Mat

Bring the magical world of The Gruffalo to life with the Gruffalo Playscape Play Mat, a handcrafted wool felt mat designed for imaginative small-world play and storytelling. Created in official partnership with Magic Light Pictures, this play mat beautifully recreates the iconic scenes from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s much-loved story.

Ideal for early years learning and creative play, children can retell the story as Mouse cleverly outwits the Fox, Owl, Snake, and even the fearsome Gruffalo.

Features and Play Elements:

• Fox’s Underground House – a cosy cave for sneaky lunch plans

• Owl’s Tree – a tall stump for woodland tea planning

• Snake’s Logpile House – a textured log home for sly suggestions

Please note: Finger puppets are not included.

The removable trees and logs allow children to rearrange the setting or use them in other imaginative scenes. This interactive felt mat encourages sensory exploration, problem-solving, and language development through hands-on play.
